Common Criteria Scheme and Laboratory Selection Assistance
Go Back to Services PageEach nation participating as a certificate-authorizing scheme under the CCRA has some latitude to levy additional requirements not assessed by the CCRA. These additional requirements may make evaluations under that national scheme more difficult or expensive than other schemes. In addition, requirements of each scheme change continually with new requirements as conditions demand. A consultant familiar with the various national schemes can assist in making the decision on what country scheme to use for the evaluation. The results of evaluations up to an EAL4 are mutually recognized by all schemes participating in the CCRA.
Likewise, each national scheme has licensed Common Criteria Testing Laboratories to perform the evaluations under that scheme. Each laboratory has differences that need to be assessed in order to pick the right laboratory for the developer.
