Common Criteria Security Target

A Security Target contains the IT security requirements of an identified Target of Evaluation and specifies the functional and assurance security measures offered by that Target of Evaluation to meet stated requirements.

The Security Target for a Target of Evaluation is a basis for agreement between the developers, evaluators and, where appropriate, consumers, on the security properties of the Target of Evaluation and the scope of the evaluation.

The audience for the Security Target is not confined to those responsible for the production of the Target of Evaluation and its evaluation, but may also include those responsible for managing, marketing, purchasing, installing, configuring, operating, and using the Target of Evaluation.
